Ricky Ponting never walked when he knew he had knicked it. And he admits
that’s the way he plays the game. Only when the Aussies started cheating,
other countries had to follow to maintain a level playing field.
Very very bad decisions against Australia from the 3rd umpire. Just cause
it’s being played over in England, it doesn’t mean that everything goes
their way. One innings Phil Hughes was given out when clearly not out as
well as Khawaja and Rogers, and then the great cheat Stuart Broad who
didn’t walk. Disgusting to sit here and watch an unfair game of cricket.
Ian Bell knew he was out as well. Absolute filth
You can easily see that it bounced off the grass. Sour grapes by the
Aussies because they were getting hammered they had to find something to
moan about and shift the blame.
Sports a strange thing, countries come and go in waves. Once Australia was
the king pin, now they are at the best mediocre. Once Britain was in the
dumps now cricket, golf, rugby, Olympics (3rd) and even the Tour de France
we’re coming out champs. Ironically at our biggest sport football, were
shit in comparison to many.
Well played Joe root and to do it against Australia at lords very special
hope we can go on now and retain the Ashes and get the hat trick what ive
seen of the Aussies they dont have a bad team they just need to sort out
there batting, on a decent bowling wicket they have a good attack and the
first test showed that they were no mugs and something needs to be done
about DRS that was clearly out poor umpiring.
I believe Haddin and Watson are the poison in the Aussie team. Haddin is
just plain lazy. I can’t count the number of times he’s just let balls go
that were his to catch. And although Watson is a good player and has
skills, that is more than offset by his clear selfishness in the team. I
think he thinks he ought to be captain, and hence the rift between him &
clarke. The selectors should either replace him, or give him the captaincy
so he can embarrass himself and then get rid of him.
Haddin should never have been brought back into the side…. Wade is the
future for Australia as far as wicket keeping and Haddin is just wasting a
spot…. lazy gloveman and a far from consistent batsman. Rarely performs.

No you didn’t, however that was nothing to do with Haddins wicket keeping,
which was superb.

Haddin broke the world record for the most dismissals by a wicket keeper in
a test series this past ashes tour.

So enjoyable as an Englishman to watch Aussie match reports – especially
when a lad who looks about 15 carted them about to the tune of 180!

Poor Smith. I was watching that and it clearly carried. His fingers were
under the ball.

How was that catch given not out?
